Children’s Ministry

Main Street Church of the Nazarene has embraced the worldwide Nazarene vision with regard to children that is clear in Jesus words in Mark 10:14, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of God belongs to such as these.”

Our Sunday School teachers and children’s workers are committed to communicating the love of Jesus to all children, and their families, through various areas of ministry:

Programs:

Children’s classes meet during the adult worship hour each Sunday.  After joining for a short time in congregational worship, children leave to attend age-appropriate learning activities.

The lessons taught and activities are specifically chosen to encourage children to build a relationship with God and to learn how to live productively and joyfully as Christians in their families and communities.

Age Groups:

  • Nursery:  Birth – 2 years
  • Preschool/Kindergarten:  3 – 6 years
  • Elementary:  1st  to  4th grade

On the second Sunday of every month, children experience missions around the world through interactive learning activities.
